This web site and supporting database was established in 1993 by King Mongkut's University of
Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) in Thailand with direct support from the National Center for Genetic
Engineering and Biotechnology (BIOTEC). Technical articles relevant to biotechnology research
in the South East Asia region are added to the database on regular basis. Particular emphasis
is given to reports, proceedings articles, and open access publications that may not be covered by the major
international database services. The majority of the material may be viewed or downloaded free of charge
for the purposes of research or personal use.
This site also provide a regularly updated news service on biotechnology developments in the region,
a calendar of international events and a database service of biotechnology - related researchers in Thailand.
Some tips on searching this site
We recommend that first time visitors use our browse facility. This allows the user to enter
the database by clicking on a particular subject of interest. Titles of our selected holdings under that
subject will then be displayed, commencing with the latest available information. Where
indicated, the user may then click on the PDFor HTML view the document or abstract.
Returning visitors may simply wish to use the quick search facility
provided on this page by entering the desired keyword(s). Once Keywords or a subject is selected
and the results returned, it is possible to search within these or to use advanced search
defining the type of article (report, etc.) or narrowing the search to a particular ASEAN country (e.g. Philippines).
